Afghanistan tourism potential in the apple of military tourism development

Abstrakt

The purpose of the article was to present Afghanistan?s tourism resources and assets in the scope of development opportunities for a special, new form of tourism, i.e. military tourism. The detailed goal of the study was to try to answer the question whether in the current state of the economy, and above all the state security, it is possible to develop any form of tourism, and strictly military tourism.

The scope of basic research included analysis of statistics on current tourism expenditure/revenues, volume of tourist traffic, analysis of tourist interest in the area of Afghanistan on the basis of data collected by various institutions, including located in Afghanistan. The whole research is completed by a description of selected anthropogenic and military resources of the examined country.
