FLOODS IN JELENIA GÓRA – FACTORS AND EFFECTS

Abstrakt

The aim of article is to analyze the causes and effects of floods in the city of Jelenia Gora. Authors verified partly positive the hypothesis: ‘Floods in the area of Jelenia Gora are anthropogenic’. The study identified main causes of floods in Jelenia Gora, as well as factors influencing their scale and scope. Then, there are presented effects posed by flooding in the studied area, in relation to the environment, the economy, the society and the space (land).
