School trips play an important role in didactic and educational process. They serve the cognitive, educational and recreational purposes. They also contribute to the implementation of the intended learning outcomes. A well-prepared trip can provide and broaden the knowledge that a student may then use during different school classes. School walking trips are one example of such projects. However, their main advantage is to provide the participants with a possibility of getting acquainted with nature, history, culture, society and the economy of their region by being in close contact with all these factors. PTTK hiking trails are very crucial for the accomplishment of this task. One example of this is the network of trails in the Słupsk region that leads through the most attractive parts of this area in terms of landscape, natural and anthropogenic values. School walking trips that are being organized on these routes are undoubtedly a valuable tool in the hands of a teacher for achieving the objectives of regional education.
