The non-Alpine mountains of Europe as a destination of Polish mountaineers

Abstract
The article presents selected Polish achievements during climbing expeditions in nonalpine European ranges up to 1989. Major expeditions were taken into account, which contributed to the knowledge of new mountain areas, as well as during strictly climbing activities, to the creation of new roads of varying degrees of difficulty, both in the summer and winter seasons. This was the basis for further trips of Poles to the higher mountains of the world, the achievement of appropriate experience, treated equally with the results of mountaineers from other countries.
