Spatial and legal and ownership aspects of the Dutch settlement in Pustkowa Góra (Zgierz District)

Abstract

The article analyze the spatial and legal-ownership aspects of the Dutch settlement in
Pustkowa Góra (Zgierz district). The research covered issues related to the location and the morphology of the developing village as well as subsequent spatial changes. The second section of the work discuses the results of research on the legal and administrative relations of Pustkowa Góra. The main source material used in the article was a settlement contract obtained through the queries at the State Archives in Poznań. The confrontation of source and cartographic materials with the scientific studies has enabled the detection of many interesting and important regularities for example Acting in two different dates of the village’s origin and showing the relics of cultural heritage.
