ASSESSMENT AND CLASSIFICATION OF NATURAL PERILS IN SOUTHEASTERN KAZAKHSTAN

Abstract
The susceptibility of southeastern Kazakhstan for natural perils, their characterization and classification is considered the article. It is established that there is a large range of natural perils of different genesis under the territory of consideration. The greatest number of them is on the submontane areas of the region, which are characterized by significant anthropogenic impact, high population density and development. The latter factors determine the degree of natural risk, the susceptibility of the population and the economy to emergency situations.
