Specificity and development of the Polish air charter market

Abstract
The charter market is a rapidly growing branch of air transport. Charter market size are measured by number of passengers, but the main reason of carriage is tourism organized by agency. Carriers and the airports managers are facing new challenges, in order to ensure appropriate services matched to the passengers going on holiday. Year by year travel agencies offer new destination, so passenger traffic is increased. The main features of charter connection are: irregularity, periodicity and flight independently from day and night.
The author attempts to characters the Polish air transport market and touristic offer. Special attention is to functioning of charter carriers from Poland and abroad, board service and related services. Important aspects are airport service offered for charter passengers.
