Support to less favoured areas in the Pomerania region
Main Article Content
Abstract
The present thesis attempts to estimate the influence of one of the common instruments of farming policy (WPR) of the European Union which are countervailing charges for arable farms located in less favoured areas in the Pomeranian region (Pomerania voivodeship and West Pomerania voivodeship). The paper presents the main features of the LFA measure and its impact on regional development. In the Pomeranian region since 2004 it has increased the number of beneficiaries, as well as the quantity of the LFA payments, which shows that these are important measures that adequately used on farms can be to invest.
