External migration as the factor of demographic safety of Belarus

The article discusses the issues and dynamics of development of the population of Belarus in the period of economic transformation and actions of factors of migration on the overall size of the population and the state security population of the country. Based on censuses of population an analysis of the overall dynamics of population trends in the age structure of
the population and development processes of the labor force. Lowering fertility rates, increased loss of natural and aging caused that in recent years an important factor replenish the population have become international migration, which become active in the post-soviet space under renewal of economic integration and local crises of various origins. Particular attention was pa attempt id to the geographical structure of international migration in Belarus. Based on the balance of domestic and international migration of population in the regions of Belarus they made their typology. Summary of the size of the balance of natural wastage and migrant influx to Belarus in 2001-2015 showing a rather negative impact of international migration on population size which results in an overall loss of population. Migrations in conditions attempt renewal of economic integration tends to increase and the influx of workers contracted to Belarus, with the simultaneous, not fully registered, the outflow of manpower from Belarus on the Russia. On the regional labor migration in regions of Belarus observed to dominate links ties with Russia, and a significant increase in the number of immigrants from the Ukraine, which directly is related to the political crisis in the south-eastern districts of the country. The growing number of refugees and people seeking protection in the modern movement as a result of migration processes of crisis in the neighboring regions of Europe shows that Belarus has been included in the system of regulation of global flows and should seek new regulatory mechanisms and forms of cooperation with the EU countries.
