The article is a proposal for the implementation of a general model of the interactive system of human environment by J.J. Parysek (1985) for the analysis of the spatial differentiation of the social situation. The proposed three-level analysis is the following: the highest level is reserved for three components (biophysical, psychosocial, technical and production) outlined in the original model of Parysek; the second level represents internally consistent groups of variables; however, the third level includes individual variables. The suggested implementation might be used in the development of the guidelines for conducting spatial monitoring of the social situation including threats and social pathologies. By adopting this approach, these studies might also be useful in the spatial aspect of diagnosis to cater for the needs of social policy, thus increasing the practical functions of geography.
